This limited-edition electric train consist is led by an Alco FA-1 locomotive, followed by ten 50-foot, plug door boxcars, and a caboose: all white with red painted wrap-around bands. The diesel engine and cupola caboose feature the red, thin-line, maple leaf icon, while each car boasts an authentic Province name in blue lettering, the year it joined Canada’s Federation, and its colorful emblem flag.

oxed set includes individual interior boxes of each component. Instructions to operate, a transformer to power, and track to create a 36-inch by 45-inch oval, are provided. Specifically, there are 11 curved sections, one curved terminal rerailer, and 4 straight sections of new track.
Additionally, you'll receive Parker Brothers' 1975 Lionel HO full color consumer catalog, which pictures the Confederation Flyer set on the first 2 pages. Within the other 7 pages are different Canadian sets, rolling stock, locomotives, track, switches, and scale building kits. There are no rips, tears or dog ears; however, it has 3 factory-punched holes to use in conjunction with a three ring binder.
The only noticeable flaw is the exterior sealed plastic wrap that is coming off. One can assume it is in mint condition because it has never been opened; but, it has also never been tested.

FUN FACT:
The actual train that travelled across Canada in 1967 carried exhibits about the country's history. The Centennial symbol embellished the locomotive's nose, the maple leaf adorned the caboose, and the horn sounded the first four notes of “O Canada”.
